Further information: 1941/1945 - NEW ZEALAND PRISONER OF WAR AEROGRAMMES: One frame award-winning collection of 28 P.O.W. air letter sheets with mint (11) AND used copies of all the nine issues (with or without watermark), and first P.O.W. aerogramme issued 1941 in GB. Has varieties like inverted overprint of SIXPENCE on 1s. (7th issue 1944, 2 recorded), and P.O.W. mail to Germany (mostly), Italy, England (only recorded use to civilian) or to Japan (only recorded copy of any issue) with a lot of specials like censor marks, 'Stalag' cachets, returned mail, etc. Includes one of 5 recorded POW Postcards used to Java. Condition throughout is unusually fine for inbound POW mail. Scarce aerogrammes.
